I am so excited to release my newest song 'Madly Deeply'. This song is so special to me because it's my first recorded song in which I wrote every word and melody all by myself. I've loved every minute of working on this song since July 2013, when I wrote the first draft of this song. I had a feeling it was something special, but I knew it was missing something, but could never figure it out. It took a trip down to the Toronto lakeshore and a long drive to and from Guelph, ON where I thought of some of my favourite lines in the song a couple of months later. I've learned that the best moments in a song for me tend to come from extremely random and unexplainable inspiration. It was at those very moments I thought to myself: that's it, this is the song. Here it is a year later, and I'm so proud of it.
Thank you to my producer David Henriques for the countless hours you've worked on this song. I think there were a million mixes, and you're the best. Thank you Adam Royce for letting me use your studio and letting me be my weird self making lots of weird noises and jokes. I'm still waiting for that dirty song...Thank you for also re-writing my lyrics as an R-rated version. F***ING MADLY, DEEPLY. Thank you to Justin Abedin for being the best guitar player ever and making the song so beautiful. And a thank you to Peter Letros at Wreckhouse Mastering for mastering the song.
Lastly, thank you to my family, and Shane for all of your endless listening to the song through its very early stages until now. Your advice, love, and support meant the world to me.
